We are always looking for new project ideas, teens making a difference, teens who want to make a difference and more. If you would like to be involved with our program you can send us an email at volunteer@teenstakingaction.org. Send us a tweet @communityteens or share a message with us on www.Facebook.com/teenstakingaction.
We get our projects from the help of you, yes you. If you have ideas we want to hear them. Our board which meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month goes over the projects and campaigns which we have received info on. Then we conduct and organize all of them. Our very first project was in October 2nd of 2010. We held a carnival for the children at the Topeka Rescue Mission. It was a simple carnival however it made the biggest difference in the lives of the children and family staying at the mission. Other projects have included a city wide clothing drive collecting over 8 pallets of clothes. Our Epic Book drive when we sent 5,600 books to New Orleans. Our projects are designed to impact the lives of others and allow teens to share in that process.
Thank you for learning more about us.
